Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) Headquarters is a 9-storey office building. The building was designed originally as a Low-Energy Building with office facilities to accommodate 1,500 people. As per July 2013 the building has a BEI of 80 kWh/m2/year with 1000 occupants.
The building was later upgraded on the client's request in order to achieve a Certified Green Building Index (GBI) rating and has achieved GBI Silver (final certification (CVA)).
The building has an ellipsoidal plan form, with a high volume ellipsoidal central atrium. Two glazed office volumes (North & South) are spanned between two ‘solid’ cladded volumes on the East and West wings, and a combination of ascending double roofs, mark a dramatic termination to the office building.
