Setia Mall will be the first green rated shopping mall in Malaysia. It is targeting Green Mark Platinum certification level and Leed Retail Gold certification level. Energy efficient features such as high efficient chiller plant, energy efficient light fixture, daylighting and insulation will be incorporated into the design of the building.

In Setia Mall, water efficient fittings will be installed and a reduction in portable water usage of 50% is expected. Rainwater will be harvested to cater for toilet flushing demand and irrigation demand. Regional material and recycled content materials will be used in the construction of this building to reduce environmental impact associated with extraction and processing of virgin resources. Apart from these, 2 % of the building energy consumption will be catered by solar renewable energy.
